Korea Chapter of the Asian Society of International Law

The Korea Chapter of the Asian Society of International Law (AsianSIL) was established as an incorporated association, serving the objectives of conducting researches on international law in Asia and cooperating with international law research institutions in the region. The Korea Chapter of AsianSIL also maintains close relations with the AsianSIL, its secretariat being located in Singapore. The first General Meeting for its establishment was held on December 2nd of 2016.

The Korea Chapter is preparing of the AsianSIL 6th Biennial Conference 2017.


The Korea Chapter holds following purposes:

  • Researching issues on international law in Asia
  • Promoting cooperation with the Asian Society of International Law
  • Promoting cooperation with major international law research institutes and societies
  • Organizing seminars and international conferences on issues of international law in Asia
